About Us
Welcome to Marquette Elementary!
The Marquette Equity Vision drives our work and decision making throughout Marquette. We recognize achieving our equity vision is an ongoing process and keep it at the center of our school improvement process.
Marquette Equity Vision
At Marquette we affirm the cultures and identities of all to create a deep sense of belonging and student ownership for learning. We will challenge and disrupt inequitable practices and beliefs.
Marquette Elementary is a partner school with Lapham Elementary. Students within this attendance area will attend both schools. For grades pre-kindergarten through second, students attend Lapham. Students then attend Marquette in third through fifth grades. The Lapham-Marquette Parent Teacher Group (PTG) supports the educational experiences at both schools.
As a staff we believe in working collaboratively to provide quality learning experiences for all students. Our academic work focuses on providing children a variety of learning activities and supports focused on the rigor of the Common Core State Standards. We support the social emotional development of students by teaching, modeling, and practicing the social and emotional skills kids need to be happy and successful.
We value special events and school wide activities that bring our school community together. This includes traditions such as the Marquette Mile and Fine Arts Night along with evolving activities such as assemblies, celebrations, and Family Nights. We focus on creating and celebrating a positive and productive learning environment for all students.
Marquette Elementary is proud to be a welcoming school. Learn more about what that means at our Google Site.
