This was Marquette’s first year becoming a Welcoming School. Our focus this year was “Embracing All Families”. In a school that embraces all families, families of all kinds feel welcome as soon as they enter the school. Children of all racial and ethnic backgrounds and with all kinds of family structures see families like theirs reflected in the books in their classrooms, in the images on bulletin boards and in the curriculum. This important work that Marquette will continue next year also.
Our Mustangs celebrated all their hard work fourth quarter with a sidewalk chalk celebration.
On Wednesday, June 1st, Marquette held its first school wide field day. This event was organized and run entirely by family volunteers. The weather was amazing, and the entire school enjoyed the event. Thanks to all the family volunteers who helped with this event.
