MMSD Students, Community Members Connect at Black Girl Magic Annual Conference

More than 34 MMSD schools were represented at this year’s Black Girl Magic Conference organized by Black Girl Magic Educational Services Inc. at Madison College! Now in its eighth year, the conference offers students networking opportunities and engaging workshops led by esteemed local Black leaders.
The theme, Destined to Dream, Lead and Shine, came to life through exciting performances and engaging breakout sessions. The Mendota Stompers, Lowell Royalties, Southside Diamonds, Leopold Black Girl Magic Dancers, Gillespie Grizzly Girl Dancers and the Sherman Dance Squad were among many schools that performed during the talent showcase.
