Having trouble? Try these steps

1. Full Shut Down

Hold down the Power key until the screen turns off
Wait a minute and turn back on

2. Hard Reset

Press and hold Refresh + tap Power once
When your Chromebook starts up, let go of the Refresh button

3. Check for a Chrome Update

Click on the Clock
Click the settings gear
On the left, select About Chrome OS
Click on Check for Updates

4. Clear your Cache & Cookies

At the top-right in Chrome, click the dots
Click More tools > Clear browsing data
Click Clear data

If Your Chromebook is Charged, but Won't Turn On

Press and hold down Refresh
Tap the Power button 5 Times
Remove hands and count to 60
It will NOT turn on immediately

Email your LMTS with your name, your child's name and student ID number. Be sure to give them as much detail about your issue as you can.

Meet Your Library Media Technology Specialist

Hello! I am Shannon Erickson the Marquette Library Media Technology Specialist. I have been part of the Marquette community for six years. This is my first year taking on the role of Library Media Technology Specialist. My role includes helping students find library books, teaching REACH and supporting students and teachers with technology in the classroom. I LOVE reading and have a lot of experience using educational technology. I currently live and grew up on the east side of Madison, so this community is near and dear to my heart. I live with my husband, two dogs and two cats. I enjoy spending time outdoors camping, hiking and biking and recently have enjoyed exploring our country's amazing national parks.
